Josh Donaldson Plays Hero On Opening Day And Walks It Off Against The Sox

Nothing screams baseball is back quite like a Yankees-Red Sox extra innings marathon. New guy Josh Donaldson making his presence known right away with a walkoff in Game 1.  Love this man's fire.

Does the automatic runner blow to the highest proportion? No question, but at the end of the day you gotta do whatever it takes for a win. Michael King was awesome in extras, especially in that 11th where he went 1-2-3. The whole pen was really good overall, but King really came up with the goods there late.

Winning that game despite Gerrit Cole allowing three runs in the first before you could blink is massive. Definitely concern there with his lack of fastball command, but whatever they get the win and survive. Just go give Donaldson the biggest hug now.

Nothing like a win on Opening Day, especially against Boston.

And a little winner here too...
