Cavs Fans Rejoice: It Looks Like PLAYOFF RONDO Is Resurfacing Just In Time For The Play-In Tournament

HOOOOOH. If you don't think the Cleveland Cavaliers have a chance in hell at beating the Nets in Tuesday's play-in matchup, may I submit to you Rajon — nay, PLAYOFF RONDO:

He's baaaaaaaaack. At least I think so. We all know the drill. Rajon Rondo paces himself more than any other big-name player throughout the regular season, looking at times disinterested, disengaged, downright bored…if he's on a losing team, forget about it, Rondo is checking the fuck out.

Rondo is also one of the smartest players in the sport and has been touted as such for many years. He saw the shit show that was happening with the Lakers earlier this season. He was hoping to recapture some of that magic from the 2020 championship team, but by January, Rondo knew it was time to peace out. So he sought a trade AWAY from LeBron James to The King's OG squad, Cleveland…

And today, in the regular-season finale, with the seventh seed still potentially at stake, Rondo dished out 13 assists in 25 minutes against the Bucks (who were admittedly resting all their key players BUT STILL).

Bottom line: The insane pass Rondo just put on a highlight reel is a reminder that, even at age 36, you can't overlook this guy. He's gonna sneak up on you in the postseason. Even if the Cavs lose to Brooklyn, they'll still have a crack at the Hawks or Hornets for the eighth seed. I'd love to see Cleveland get the eighth seed, face the Heat in the first round, and witness Rondo just relentlessly hound and go after Jimmy Butler and Co., talking smack to Miami about beating them in the Bubble Finals.

GIVE ME PLAYOFF RONDO BAY-BEEEEEEE.
