The Nationals Crying About the Giants "Running Up The Score" in a SIX Run Game is the Saddest, Most Pathetic Shit You'll Ever See

I come from the correct mindset that there should be no such thing as complaining about running up the score. If you don't want the other team stealing on you, throw them out. If you don't want the other team hitting homers, strike them out. I honestly think it's more insulting and humiliating when the winning team noticeably stops trying. Like in football when the other side just starts running the ball up the middle in the 4th quarter up three scores and refuses to do anything dangerous, I'd rather you just run your plays and get on it with it than show me mercy.

This, however, was a SIX run ball game! It's not like a position player was pitching and the other side was executing double steals, we're talking six fucking runs. I don't have Elias stats on hand, but you see a handful of six run games blown every year in one inning. The Giants scored seven runs in the 2nd inning of this one alone! Six runs is so little that if Aroldis Chapman started the inning for me and walked the first two guys I'd immediately get nervous and want someone warming. Six runs is such a little lead in today's game it's not even funny. The Nationals getting butt hurt about this might be the softest thing I've ever seen and I know that's aggressive to say, but it might be. I know the Nationals are more or less a Juan Soto marketing agency than a baseball team these days, but be better.

To wake up today and double down on this is actually insane. What a fucking pussy. If Manfred had any balls as commissioner he'd step in and take away a draft pick or something. You can't have professional baseball teams crying about runs being scored in a 6 run game. I hope the Giants win by 20 runs today and are pulling off hit and runs in the 9th inning while they laugh and give double birds to the Nats dugout.
