This SNL Promo Clip Is So Incredibly Unfunny I'm Starting To Think They Are Trolling Us

Though they're certainly dwindling, there are still redeeming qualities of Saturday Night Live. Colin Jost and Michael Che are usually pretty funny. Every so often, there's a host who kills it. I'm sure some of the writers are still as talented as the ones who have launched successful careers there for decades. But man, it's hard to watch something like this and deny that this once-iconic American institution is too far above the gutter.

I am probably the last person to ever argue for internet comments being accepted as any sort of legitimate indicator of public opinion, but there's a level of consensus in those TikTok comments that you couldn't get if you asked 100 people on the street if the sky is blue. I actually think everyone should send this clip to their significant other, because if they laugh at it, you might be with someone who you don't want contributing 50 percent of your children's genetic makeup.

Honestly, I was trying to think of the last time I saw something that was this bad and the only thing I could come up with was when SNL did this same thing in one of these promos four months ago.

These are so bad that I'm staying woke to the fact they might be plants to get engagement — in which case, well done. But it seems likelier that's giving them way too much credit.
