It Is Downright Deplorable That Phil Kessel Is Still A Free Agent

We are now a full week into NHL Free Agency. Gaudreau moved on to Columbus. Giroux went back home to Ottawa. Vinny Trochek will be suiting up with the Rangers. Most of the big names have already been taken off the board.

But for some godforsaken reason, the biggest name of them all is still floating around out there without a team.

In what world are there 32 NHL teams out there who are currently saying to themselves that they are better off without Phil The Thrill on the roster? In what world is there even just one singular NHL team out there thinking they'd be better off without the 2x Stanley Cup Champ?

Honestly it's disgusting. NHL GMs all make a considerable amount of dough (slang term for US Legal Tender). These dudes are getting paid millions of dollars for what? To sit around on their ass all summer in their cottage and not be on the phone every day with The Thrill trying to get a deal done? Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Buffalo, Anaheim. All these teams have a ridiculous amount of cap space to work with. Makes me sick to my stomach that the Philadelphia Flyers have literally negative cap space to play around with because if there's anything that could possibly turn around this disastrous offseason, it would be bringing in the KessDawg. But yeah. I just don't understand how I'm even writing this blog in the first place a week after NHL free agency opened up. We need to create more awareness for this atrocity. I demand justice. I demand somebody sign Phil Kessel by the end of yesterday.
