I Have No Idea How Carson Wentz Kept His Cool While A Local Reporter Ripped Him To His Face During An Interview

What a ridiculous line of questioning from local sports reporter Scott Abraham. Some people online are saying "finally, a reporter asking the REAL questions". Sure, fine. I think the line was crossed when he said "Philly didn't want you, Indy didn't want you, your dog hates you, your wife left you, people call you "smelly piss boy" behind your back, and God doesn't want you to believe in him anymore". I thought that was a bit much, in this blogger's humble opinion.

But I've never seen a reporter blatantly talk shit to a player's face like this. Ever. For no reason, to be honest. Wentz is just trying to get through camp (It's August 12th for goodness sake!) and he'a already learning what it's like to be a QB in Washington. Did you sail a ball on August 4th during 7 on 7s? Oh you did? Well then you fucking suck, let's get John Beck or Colt McCoy back in here.

The narrative that has somehow formed about Wentz during minicamp is the biggest overreaction I've ever seen. He had one practice where he threw back to back INTs and that was enough for the local media, they ran with a "Wentz is inaccurate" storyline. It's like these people who cover the team want Wentz to fail, it's incredible.

But the truth is he hasn't been bad. He's been a noticeable upgrade from the Alex Smith/Heinicke tandem.

The internet hates Wentz. It's weird. I've never seen a guy who threw 27 TDs to only 7 INTs in a down season get so much hate. I think he's going to go over 4,000 yards and over 30 TDs this season. I think he's going to shut a lot of people up. These were his top receivers last year in Indy:

Probably the worst WR corp in the league. And the 40/360 is Jonathon Taylor. Wentz now has weapons in DC. He gets to throw to McLaurin, Dotson, and Samuel, plus Antonio Gibson out of the backfield. Buy your stock in him now.

And as for that reporter, looks like he will be apologizing soon.
