Football Guy: Rich Bisaccia Wrote Handwritten Letters To Every Raiders Player At The End Of Last Season

On today's Pardon My Take... RICH BISACCIA! The Special Teams Coordinator for the Green Bay Packers and former Las Vegas Raiders Interim Head Coach joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to discuss being a foxhole guy, last year's experience, and much more. Bisaccia is also a big time Football Guy, and the guys discussed a story that solidifies the fact that he belongs in that category. Take a look:

Mr. Cat: How long did it take to write all of those handwritten notes, because, for people who don't know, you wrote a handwritten note to every single player. I don't actually, I'm not going to commend you, because you just did school work, but how much time did it actually take? Because that part, I would be like, "No, I'm just going to type this out."

Rich Bisaccia: That was actually, you know, my daughter put that on FaceSpace, or Facebook, whatever those things are. But I wasn't really happy with it at first, I certainly appreciate her thought process now that it has gone through. But coming from a long time college coach, you know, I wrote notes all the time. You know, handwritten notes, that was a big deal in recruiting at that time. A lot of times, I had left, you can ask Deuce McAllister and those guys, I had left notes in their lockers, all those things. So that was just, we were in a playoff game, and it was an exciting time for everybody, and I was just going to leave stuff in their locker, and I was just finishing up some... it was actually the morning of the game. I only had a few left to finish up, I had been working on them throughout the week. So, there was only a few to finish up, and that's when the picture was taken.

Mr. Cat: Did [Will] Compton get one? Or was he not on the team…

Rich Bisaccia: Yeah, we actually let him go before then.

Mr. Cat: You got to write him a note!

Rich Bisaccia: I gotta bring that up.

Mr. Cat: Come on, you got to write him a note, you owe him a note.

Mr. Commenter: Do you want to give him a verbal note?

Mr. Cat: Give him a verbal note.

Rich Bisaccia: (sticking up his middle finger) I do, I text him all the time. So, he'll know exactly what that means.

Mr. Cat: It was a cool moment, though. I just, like I said, we are just drawn to Football Guys, who it's clear their players will do anything for them, and it's clear you have that with your players.

Rich Bisaccia is as big of a Football Guy as they come. He won over last year's Raiders locker room easily, but unfortunately, Las Vegas didn't give him another shot. We will see how he does in his next stint with the Green Bay Packers.
