Carmelo Fights With Fans On Instagram, Tells Them They Are Stuck With Him

ESPN – During a give-and-take with fans on his Instagram page, Carmelo Anthony hinted that he’s happy with the direction of the New York Knicks and isn’t interested in seeking a trade from the team. In response to a fan questioning how much he cared about the game, Anthony wrote, “Shows how little you know about me. Staying in NY shows that I do care. If I would have left, what would you have said then? “Oh, Melos wack for leaving. He turned his back on NY”. FOH. You are stuck with me buddy. Deal with it. If you want me gone, I’ll personally walk you into the front office so you can plead your case of the Knicks trading me. Hope you have bail money bc they might have you arrested for Disturbing the Peace.” One fan wrote that Anthony “shouldn’t listen to the negativity” and should “trust the process” because the Knicks are on the right path. Anthony’s response? “Best thing I’ve heard all day.” Anthony’s commitment to the Knicks and his opinion of their offseason transactions have been topics of widespread speculation this summer. Anthony will likely address the offseason for the first time this week in Las Vegas during the Team USA minicamp. When asked by a user why he chose to engage with his critics on Instagram, Anthony said, “This is therapeutic for me.”

I’m not gonna sit here and get all on my high horse about Carmelo slumming it in the trenches talking shit with Instagram commenters. Would I prefer he didnt do that? Yes. I also would prefer that he starts earning his contract and at least taking this team to the post season, but that aint happening either. I also would prefer to hop in a time machine and go back to last summer and have Phil Jackson not sign him to that contract at all. We dont all get what we want.

But I hate the notion that people cant respond to any of these assholes without be labeled petty or weak or unfocused. Maybe its just because I constantly get it myself, but I think you should be able to fire back at assholes once in a while without it reflecting badly on you. Should be able to call out some glazed donut face ass for talking shit about you and your family and your life. I know its stooping. I get the idea that if you were 100% secure you wouldnt care or respond. But at the same time fuck that. If you want to tell a commenter or a troll to go fuck themselves after they disparage you and your family and shit, you should have every right to.

The problem here is that Melo kinda sucks and a lot of the stuff they say is true. And also he makes $30 million a year. I can promise you if I made 30 million a year there wouldnt be a single thing anyone alive could say to me on twitter or Instagram or in the comments section of my blog that would ever come close to fazing me. So, in that regard, its kind of annoying that Melo stoops to their level. And obviously its a fight he cant win, unless he actually wins on the court. So sure, its not the best look and its a waste of time. But the point remains, if someone is talking shit about you and your wife or your family or your team, you should have every right to say “Go fuck yourself” without you being the one who ends up judged. They’re the scumbag loser, not Melo.
