The Worst Bank Robber On The Planet Stole $120 From A Bank In Florida And Was Promptly Arrested 10 Minutes Later
Once inside the bank, the suspect, later identified as 56-year-old Paul Sinclair, approached the bank teller, implied he had a gun, and demanded cash.
Sinclair was given $120 in cash. Detectives say the suspect then fled from the bank.
Listen I never went to Criminal School, but apparently neither did this guy because I'd imagine this topic is covered in Chapter 1: Risk vs. Reward. Why rob a bank, which is punishable with up to 20 years in a federal prison, for $120? If I'm him and see that's the type of money the teller is handing over, I call off the dogs. Say it was a prank. Take off the mask and laugh about it together.
And there's a 0.0% chance that this bank only had $120 on them. This guy had to be giving off major squirt gun vibes for the teller to feel confident in giving him just enough to take an Uber ride home. Or better yet, it appears he was giving off finger pistol vibes.
Detectives interviewed Sinclair, who admitted to the robbery and to putting his hand under his shirt to form the shape of a gun while demanding cash from the teller.
Can a lawyer please explain to me why people do this? Is the charge less if you rob a bank with a fake gun instead of a real gun? Because me personally, I do everything to the best of my ability. Whether that's playing pickup basketball or having lunch at an all-you-can-eat buffet, I'm going hard. So if I'm robbing a bank, I'm going all out. Wire cutters, ski mask, getaway car with no license plate, and definitely some heat. This guy deserved to get caught, which he did, 10 minutes later.
