Alec Baldwin Seriously Posted An "Anniversary" Picture On Instagram Of The Director He Allegedly Shot (And Killed) On Set

NY Post - Alec Baldwin is facing backlash for an “inappropriate” Instagram post remembering “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the anniversary of her death.

“One year ago today…” the 64-year-old actor on Friday captioned a picture of Hutchins behind a camera.

Some commenters slammed him for the tribute because it was Baldwin who held the prop gun as it discharged, killing Hutchins on the New Mexico movie set on Oct. 21, 2021.

Baldwin maintains that he did not pull the trigger, but an FBI report released in August disputed the claim. Now Baldwin is facing new heat with his anniversary remembrance.

“This feels really inappropriate since you’re the one who shot and killed her…” one commenter wrote on the post.

“Inappropriate. This could be very misunderstood,” another doubled down.

A buddy sent me this picture this morning and my first thought was man that's a really low-class attempt at humor. Whoever photoshopped that was a shit bag.

But nope! I was wrong.

Alec Baldwin legitimately thought this was a good idea to post yesterday on to his Instagram for his 2.5 million followers to take in.

Behind being a funny motherfucker on Thirty Rock,

Being ELECTRIC in Glengary Glen Ross

Being wicked good at beating paparzzi ass up

Tone deafness is actually Baldwin's specialty.

Back when that video of the former NFL player getting in a fight with a United employee went viral, Baldwin seriously had the balls to throw in his two cents.

NY Post - Alec Baldwin is talking about a new kind of safety: workplace safety.

Baldwin reacted to a now-viral video showing former NFL player Brendan Langley brutally beating up a United Airlines worker at a ticketing counter.

While Langley was later arrested for assault, the unnamed airline employee was hospitalized and ultimately terminated.

TMZ noted that the airline employee might have been the one to make the first move, but Baldwin disagreed in online statements.

Baldwin, 64, commented on the altercation, according to a post by the Instagram page the Shade Room, calling the United Airlines worker a “victim.”

“The guy working at the airport is the victim. He came to work to do a job,” Baldwin wrote. “The other guy, with his big mouth, is guilty of workplace abuse, where people come to work with an expectation of safety, even civility. This asshole who hit this guy should be put on a no-fly list.”

Baldwin’s comments come after he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film “Rust.” New Mexico, the site of the filming, fined the movie production company to the tune of nearly $137,000, the maximum fine, for firearms safety failures.

Most people that killed somebody on accident on the job and had the means to avoid rotting in jail awaiting trial would lay low. Hide out with family or close friends, stay out the spotlight and off people's radars for as long as possible. They'd probably do a lot of self-reflecting, and repenting. Perhaps some therapy and mental preparation should things go sideways in their trial and they're sent away to prison.

One thing they'd definitely not do, at the urgent advice of their legal counsel, is participate on social media whatsoever, never mind weighing in on polarizing topics.

Not Alec Baldwin.

No sirree.

All he knows is diarrhea of the mouth.

And workplace safety, apparently. Which is why I think he will make an excellent choice for the new executive head of OSHA. Nobody knows better about workplace safety than somebody who actually killed a person while working.

So when video of this guy from United Airlines at Newark airport who decided to come from around the counter, square up, and then eat about a dozen punches to the face, began circulating, it was good that Baldwin jumped to his defense.

Baldwin makes a great point. When you're being paid to do something, you're technically working. Everybody knows that when you're working anything you say or do is just "your job."

Mouthing off at a customer, fighting the paparazzi, or shooting a director- all part of the job technically.

If anybody is guilty here its Brandon Langley, the ex-NFL WR, and he's guilty for workplace abuse.

United shouldn't have fired this guy, they should have promoted him.

We need more common-sense people like Alec around here.
