Hollywood Is So Washed Up That It's Now Resorting To Making Horror Movies Involving Santa Claus - UPDATE - I Was Wrong

There I was watching the Patriots sack the every living shit out of Sam Ehlinger yesterday when during one of the commercial breaks I thought I was hallucinating...

Was that the guy from Stranger Things dressed in a Santa costume splitting people's skulls open with an axe?

No way. Had to be imagining things.

Turns out I wasn't. Turns out Hollywood has completely given up even more than we thought.

I wish I was making this up.

Entertainment WeeklyViolent Night star David Harbour and the film's director Tommy Wirkola stopped by EW's New York Comic Con studio on Friday, and dished on their new bloody Christmas film.

In it, Harbour stars as Santa Claus, who must step in and save the day when a group of mercenaries start attacking the estate of a wealthy family on Christmas Eve. John Leguizamo stars as the film's villain and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation vet Beverly D'Angelo is also among the cast.

Is nothing sacred anymore?

First, they came for Santa with that scumbag Billy Bob Thornton.

Now they're coming with him with C and D list actors armed to the teeth. Literally, John Leguizamo is a villain trying to kill Santa Clause on Christmas Eve with a clan full of mercenaries.

Anytime you see John Leguizamo in a movie, you know it's gonna be bad. David Harbour is the man, yes, his agent sucks for allowing him to appear in this, but Hopper is the man. Which is why I'm even more triggered this movie is happening.

------- UPDATE ------

After posting this, my buddy Rear Admiral, somebody whose knowledge on all things and taste I greatly admire, reached out to me to inform me this is nothing new, and Hollywood was doing this shit back in the 80s.

Silent Night, Deadly Night was an entire series.

That's on me. My apologies.
