New York Rangers Fans Get Chant Cucked In Their Own Barn. Disgraceful!

Rangers fans have been getting wildly too large for their britches lately. Insufferable is the first word that comes to mind, and the peak of that insufferability came to a head during last season's Eastern Conference Finals. When Rangers fans had the audacity to chant "Igor's better" towards the reigning 2x Stanley Cup champion, Conn Smythe Trophy and Vezina Trophy winner Andrei Vasilevskiy. And that's fine. If you're going to be the dickhead fanbase that wants to pretend that the entire hockey world revolves around a franchise which has largely accomplished nothing as of late, then Rangers fans have every right to be that fanbase.

HOWEVA…

If you're going to be that dickhead fanbase, then you simply cannot get chant cucked in your own building.

Down 4-2 in the 2nd period at MSG and you've got "Igor" chants serenading down from the Devils faithful in the crowd. Now I understand there's less than 15 miles separating the two teams. It's not like this was a crowd from Tampa Bay traveling up north to takeover Madison Square Garden. But still. This is a brutal look for Rangers fans. The worst team in the metro area AND the worst fans? I'd be ashamed if I were a Rangers fan right now. But I don't think they're capable of having the same amount of self-awareness as their goaltender.

Vitek's better! Vitek's better!
