Poetic: Trae Young Wore Shoes That Said 'King Of Broadway' At MSG, Promptly Gets His Dick Kicked In By The Knicks

You think I give a shit the Hawks were missing some players? Absolutely not. A win counts as a 1 win in the NBA no matter who you play. But beating Trae Young, who is doing his best to be Reggie Miller for us, while wearing King of Broadway shoes? Just makes it a little sweeter. Don't have to listen to the 19 Hawks fans or see them doing the ice cold celebration. Don't have to listen to Trae get all excited about MSG. 

Nope. 

Just an ass kicking. Just a ho-hum 34/17 from Julius Randle. Just 23 from Grimes. Now, sure, Thibs still needs to figure out the rotation, but at least we're playing Grimes the minutes he should. But this is about the rivalry that's starting. Trae vs the Knicks. Trae vs MSG. Trae vs New York. We haven't had someone like this to rally Knicks fans together since Reggie Miller (Dolan doesn't count). We haven't come together to consistently boo and shit talk one single person like Trae since Reggie. So congrats to him on that. That's a true accomplishment. 

But you can't show up wearing King of Broadway shoes and then get your shit kicked in. Surely the King of Broadway would be able to go 9-for-20 from the field and be a -26. That's not what kings do. And I know it's the regular season. But we need rivalries in sports. Fuck anyone who doesn't get a little twinkle in their eyes when you get to truly despise someone in sports. 

So if Trae is going to try and mock the Knicks every chance he gets, then we're going to mock him right back.
