Tage Thompson Is The One Who Knocks

Much was made last year when Jack Eichel forced his way out of Buffalo. Most folks just automatically assumed it was Eichel who had demanded the trade from the Sabres. But as more and more time passes by, that doesn't seem like the most likely scenario anymore. It would appear that what happened was big bad Tage Thompson barging into Kevyn Adams' office and demanding the Sabers ship Eichel off to god knows where so that he could ascend to the 1C position. He staked his claim as the top-line center heir apparent and told Buffalo that Eichel could fuck off for all he cares.

Kevyn Adams obliged. They gave him $7.14M of the cap space that opened up. And all that has happened since then is that Tage Thompson has developed into a bonafide NHL superstar.

If you had a dollar for every time Tage Thompson scored a point so far this season, you would have 50 smackeroos. Think about how much you could buy with that money in Buffalo. You could have the greatest night of your life. 32 games, 26 goals, and 24 assists. He's just the 3rd player this year to hit the 50-point mark, only behind McDavid and Draisaitl. Those two just get to load up on points playing with each other, meanwhile TNT is doing all this shit on his own. Just look at this sick bastard go.

6'7" 218lbs of USDA Certified Prime American Beef. Words cannot express how hard this mutant rules. 26 goals on the year so far and like 20 of them make you shit your pants in awe. He's a menace to society.

You think TNT just lucked into having Jack Eichel quit on Buffalo and that top line center position opening up? You think that of Tage Thompson? No. He is the one who knocks.
