Everybody's Favorite Awards Show, The Grammys Are Tonight. Here's Everything You Need To Know On Who's Nominated and Who's Going To Win.

Billboard - The 2023 Grammys, set to air on Sunday, Feb. 5, will have a strong focus on contemporary R&B and hip-hop. There will be individual performances by Lizzo, Mary J. Blige and Steve Lacy. DJ Khaled, joined by Fridayy, Jay-Z, John Legend, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, will perform “God Did,” their No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit. Most notably, there will be an extensive 50th-anniversary salute to hip-hop, hosted by LL Cool J and featuring dozens of hip-hop stars.

Hip-hop will also factor into another set piece on the show. The annual In Memoriam spot will feature three breakout salutes – to Migos co-founder Takeoff, Fleetwood Mac mainstay Christine McVie and country legend Loretta Lynn. Maverick City Music will join Quavo for Quavo’s sentimental ballad “Without You” to honor Takeoff. Bonnie Raitt, Mick Fleetwood and Sheryl Crow will team to perform “Songbird” from Fleetwood Mac’s album of the year-winning Rumours to honor McVie. Kacey Musgraves will perform Lynn’s 1970 classic “Coal Miner’s Daughter” in tribute to the country legend.

It's Grammy night everybody. Between the flag football pro bowl and this, I think it's safe to say today is the greatest day of TV viewing of the year.

The live performance lineup isn't the strongest The Grammy's have ever had, but Luke Comb always brings it, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and Chris Stapleton will probably steal the show, and my man Steve Lacy will crush. 

Here is my breakdown on the "Big Four" categories and the ones people actually care about here-

Everybody in the world has Beyonce winning this one. But she has been up for this category five times before, and lost. 

But this year's competition is not on the level of Adele 21, so she should, and will take this one easily. Renaissance may not be her greatest work of her career, but it's the most complete album on this list, the competition sucks, and she is beyond due.

This is a difficult category to gauge because Adele always does well here and cleans up. It's "Beyonce's year" as we discussed right before this, and the man Kendrick Lamar can and should have a serious shot with "The Heart Part 5"… BUT, my personal favorite in this category, and the artist I think should win is Steve Lacy for "Bad Habit". Finger's crossed he pulls this off, which he deserves, and we cash in a high value bet here.

The fact DJ Khaled is nominated in this category is a fucking joke and evidence of what a joke the music industry is nowadays.

Adele has two of these already, (for "Rolling in the Deep" and "Hello"), but "Easy on Me," first released in October 2021, just feels old at this point. So bid high for Harry, whose charms are maximized on "Was"

Here's my breakdown on this category. Depending on how the record of year award goes, if Lacy wins, I think Harry Styles takes this award for "Song of The Year". If Lacy doesn't win, then I think he takes it here.

This category is a shit show and honestyly the most interesting one of the entire night. 

Everybody is banking on Latto taking this one easily, but her song was built on samples from Mariah Carey's smash "Fantasy". I would love to see Maneskin win here because I love everything about them, (they're Italian. they're real rock musicians. the chick in the band is smoking hot). But for betting purposes, and if I'm being honest and impartial here, I think Wet Leg takes it here. They're awesome, make great music, and helped bring fun back to indie rock this year.
