I Am Officially Declaring The Philadelphia Eagles To Be Super Bowl LVII Media Night Champions

When you get to this point in the season and you're trying to win a Super Bowl, everything starts to mean more. All that work you put in the entire season all comes down to these last 60 minutes of football. Every quarter means more, every play means more, every day leading up to the game means more. You're looking to gain any little advantage you can get over your opponent.

Last night the Philadelphia Eagles found that advantage and picked up the first victory of Super Bowl week. Time to get another banner ready for the rafters because the Philadelphia Eagles are your Super Bowl LVII Media Night Champions.

First let's start off with the MVP of the night, Jalen Hurts.

I mean what on god's green Earth do you think this reporter was expecting out of Jalen here? That he'd stand up and go hug the man and tell him how appreciative he is for the apology? That they'd become lifelong pals and share this "man to man" bond forever? I honestly can't even tell if this was a bit or not. Luckily Jalen didn't let him stick around long enough for anybody to find out, hit him with a "cool" and just kept it pushing.

Speaking of Jalen Hurts--not that this should be a surprise or anything but Super Bowl week kicked off with Mr. Lurie making it beyond clear that he's the franchise QB moving forward.

Pretty easy decision to make when you've got an MVP finalist who just led this team to the Super Bowl in his 2nd year as a starter and is loved by fans and respected by everybody around the league. But I guess it's still something that needed to be said.

A guy who lost a lot of respect around the league would be Brandon Aiyuk after his tremendously ass hurt comments about the Eagles after getting their doors blown off in the NFC Championship Game. Slay had a chance to respond to those comments in a way that only Slay could.

Shout out to him. Also shoutout to the Head Ball Coach for shoving these reporters in a locker and not giving their "zany" little bits the time of day.

Big time "that's a clown question, bro" energy out of Nick Sirianni last night. The man is locked in.

Speaking of being locked, we found out that Jordan Mailata's lockscreen on his phone is over Jason Kelce. So I don't know how anybody could ever bet against this team ever again.

My hope for everybody in the world is that one day they have somebody in their life who loves them as much as Jordan Mailata loves Jason Kelce. You want to know why the Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in the history of football? 1A) Jeff Stoutland University, 1B) reasons like this.

The most notable moment for the Chiefs on Opening Night? JuJu Smith-Schuster ratting on himself that he has no idea what he's talking about.

So the final tally for all the boys and girls keeping score at home was a lot for the Birds to a little from the Chiefs. The Eagles are Media Night Champs. Let's get that parade going for Friday heading into the actual Super Bowl weekend.

Go Birds.
