Blue Jays Manager John Schneider Saved A Woman's Life While Out To Eat This Weekend
Not only did John Schneider save the Blue Jays season after being named the interim manager, he saved a woman's life when she started choking on a piece of shrimp. Another reason I don't eat those things. They seem very easy to choke on. Too many legs, the shell, just gross.
But nonetheless, Schneider jumped up and gave this woman the Heimlich maneuver and saved her from choking to death. The footage of this incident is actually pretty wild.
Good for Schneider stepping up and doing the right thing and just springing into action. Not an easy thing to do. But he said he learned the Heimlich maneuver in 6th grade and boy oh boy is that lady happy that he remembered it. Had to be a scary scene there too. People freaking out and trying to help to no avail before Schneider answered the call.
He was rewarded for his heroics in the perfect form for a Big League manager.
I imagine anybody needs something to take the edge off after that. Never a dull moment as a baseball manager, One day you're making up new signals for your third base coach and the next you're popping a shrimp out of a stranger's throat with the Heimlich maneuver. Claps for JS.
