The Rays Announce They Are Wearing Their Throwback "Devil Rays" Uniforms This Season And It Should Be A Permanent Move

A couple days back I blogged about the Marlins announcing they were bringing back their old school teal jerseys and how great of a move it was, now we have another Florida baseball team doing the something bringing back some gems. The Rays announced that they will be wearing their throwback "Devil Rays" uniforms 14 times this season including Opening Day and Friday home games to honor their 25th year anniversary. Bravo move by them because these things are heat. Absolutely Mt. St. Helens HEAT.

I don't understand how you can be sitting on these and not run them out full-time. They look too good not to be worn every single home game. I wrote about it 2 years ago when Tampa Bay started wearing them again, they absolutely should make them their full time uniforms. Don't have to wear them every home game, but make it a permanent move for every Friday home game. Make it fun and bring back the Devil Ray! These have the potential to be the best uniform in baseball.

In my eyes we have the Oakland greens, Orioles orange, baby blue Phillies, and I think these round out the top 4. They're beautiful. No one cares about the "Devil" anymore, no one will be mad! Bring them back and let these babies go wild.

The hat, the socks, everything about these are sexy. It's so 90s it hurts, but in a good way. So this 14 game stretch for the uniforms is a good start, but I want them back more. I need them more. I need to see those colors and the Devil Rays logo like the old days. Tampa, you want some more fans to come? Wear these bad boys more often. Can sell the hell out of some Wander Franco throwbacks. Great move here by the Tampa front office, Florida baseball teams finally using their heads! Next step is to make it permanent.
