This RyanAir CEO Is A Lunatic Who Wants To Charge You To Use Bathrooms And Wants A Standing Section On The Plane And I LOVE Him

I was scrolling through TikTok this morning, could've been for 30 seconds, could've been for 30 minutes. No idea, that app just melts my brain and that melt acts as glues for my eyes to the screen. Anyways, one of the videos that the Chinese fed to me was this clip of RyanAir CEO Michael O'Leary. Admittedly, I have no idea when this interview took place, but it was new to me so I figured there's a good chance that it would be new to many of you as well.

Charge to use bathrooms and a standing section. I feel like if you read that headline with those details you're ready to grab your pitchforks and complain about yet another shitty airline trying to squeeze every penny out of you. That's not Michael O'Leary though. This guy is looking to pass on the piss revenue back to the consumer. That to me is true innovation. That is a CEO who looks at the limitations of an industry and doesn't give any fucks about traditional norms.

I, as a larger human, would LOVE a standing section on a plane. I don't want to be all scrunched up in a middle seat with backpack at my feet. Do you know how hard it is to take your shoes off if you have a bag under the seat in front of you? It's nearly impossible. I'll gladly stand.

Pay to piss is a GENIUS idea too. I hate the people who are constantly asking you to get up or crawling over you so they can go to the bathroom. It's annoying. I am trying to sleep and that person is getting up to go to the bathroom simply because they're bored. This would be a great deterrent. And...if it's an emergency, that would be a HUGE revenue generator for the airline. How much would you pay to use a toilet in a genuine emergency situation? The correct answer is literally anything. In that moment it is the most valuable thing in the world.

This type thinking is probably why RyanAir is BOOMING post-covid

Hell of a way to ring in St Patrick's Day.
