Team USA Absolutely STEAMROLLED Cuba On Their Way To The WBC Title Game

Never a doubt, not one single doubt. Not even when Adam Wainwright let Cuba load the bases with 3 straight singles and walked in a run before recording an out.  USA was always going to win this game and advance to the finals. 14-2 was the final and it probably could have gotten up to 20 if they wanted to. They'll play the winner of Japan and Mexico in what should be an awesome final game.

Paul Goldschmidt got the USA out of a pickle early and helped put them back up top with a 2-run bomb, a lead the US wouldn't look back on. We had help from the usual suspects, Mookie Betts with 3 hits, Goldy with 4 RBIs, Arenado had a pair of hits before he got taken out after being hit by a pitch, Cedric Mullins with a tater and of course....Trea Turner came through once again.

The guy is as hot as hot can be. 3 hits, 2 being homers and 4 RBI for the best #9 hitter ever. It's been his tournament the last few nights, Trout had it by the balls the first week but Trea has taken over.

This was HUGE for the USA because their pitching staff was already questionable and you could not afford to go into the Championship game with a bullpen that had just been run through. HUGE to save some guys. I wouldn't be able to sleep if they went into a matchup against Ohtani without a rested pen.

Now we wait and see who the US gets to take on next. Revenge game vs Mexico? A mega matchup versus Shohei Ohtani? USA looking to repeat, some great storylines all around. What an unreal last 2 games for the boys, playing well at the exact right time. See you Tuesday night.

PS. We get it Kevin, you hate the WBC.
