Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Shared A Bank Account In The 80's For Some Reason

Giphy Images.

That settles it. The discussion about joint vs. separate bank accounts is OVER. There is only one right answer: JOINT. Isn't that right, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon?

Turns outs that back in the 80's when Ben and Matt were struggling actors, they set up a joint bank account. And the funds were earmarked for two things:

1) Traveling to auditions

2) "An allowance for a small amount of entertainment money." Damon claims their entertainment was "going to the arcade" which is code for drugs, right?

Daily Mail - Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are famous for their decades-long friendship and their numerous collaborations.

But the 50-year-old Gone Girl star and the 52-year-old Ocean's Eleven actor revealed that they were once so closely entwined that they even shared a bank account.

During an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, the two admitted that the 'unusual' relationship helped them support each other when they were first going to auditions in the late 1980s, via CNBC.

'It was unusual, but we needed the money for auditions,' Damon said, adding that it was 'a weird thing in retrospect.'

At the time that they were first going out on auditions they were still in their late teens.

At least Damon acknowledged how fucking weird it was that two straight dudes that weren't in a relationship or banging shared a bank account when they could have easily just, you know, had their own.

And I certainly don't think there's any way that this cute little anecdote was made up by two guys who make things up for a living to promote their new movie 'Air.' Not a chance.
