Early Thoughts For The Elite 8 Saturday Lines On The Barstool Sportsbook

What a helluva Thursday Night of Sweet 16 games! Right after Gonzaga won a thriller against UCLA, the lines were up for Sunday on the Barstool Sportsbook.

I had two immediate reactions when I saw these lines.

1) Kansas St (-2) vs FAU

I thought K-State would be 3 to 3.5 point favorite in this matchup. The oddsmakers have not showed the Wildcats too much respect this year so it is not the biggest surprise. Even though they were a 3 seed, they were a dog to 7 seed Michigan State before their OT classic tonight.

What a run by Florida Atlantic. They have taken full advantage of the opportunity given to them when Purdue lost 1st round. The Owls are now 34-3 this season! I hope they keep on hootin' Sunday and would love to see a Cinderella in the Final Four. The guard play will be fantastic in this one. FAU was 50-1 to win this Regional on some sites before the tourney.

2) UCONN (-1) vs. Gonzaga

I AM DONE going against UCONN. I have in all 3 games so far and the Huskies have shoved it up my ass. Jeff D Lowe has been after me on Twitter about it and I cannot say that I blame him.

This was a bold move showing big respect to UCONN by the oddsmakers making them a slight favorite. But the Huskies have literally been the most dominant team in the tourney after demolishing Arkansas Thursday night. They look primed for a title run.

I am still in shock over the Gonzaga ending after they melted down and somehow still won on a 3 from the S of the March Madness logo. They better get their minds right in a hurry for Saturday if they want to make the Final Four in Houston.
