Caitlin Clark & Angel Reese Agree: Iowa Doesn't Deserve Invite To White House

"I attended the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship! Congratulations to both teams. So I know we'll have the champions come to the White House, we always do, so we'll have LSU come. But... you know what? I'm gonna tell Joe, 'I think Iowa should come, too'. Because they played such a good game. Right?! So winners and losers, that's sportsmanship!"

Blind reaction the moment she said 'I think Iowa should come, too' (also, warning - smoke-show alert):

I cannot imagine a world where anyone would suggest a men's 2nd place team come to the White House, too, because #sportsmanship! (If I'm wrong and this has happened to the men's teams please don't point it out as I will boldly ignore it.) Don't make the women's game some cutesy little thing where 'of course the girls all share the spotlight afterwards, because it's the nice, sweet thing to do'.

Gotta agree with Angel Reese here.

And Caitlin Clark agrees with her!

How nice, everyone from every side coming together in agreement.

Speaking of, it feels like it's in the same wheelhouse as everyone freaking out and calling LSU star Angel Reese 'classless' because she's competitive AF and has a personality (that is GREAT for the game). It's celebrated when the guys get fired up but she's supposed to be a quiet little lady on the court during the most heated game of the season? Again, booo. Anyone genuinely rattled by her needs to get a grip.

And yes, Iowa's Caitlin Clark landed the all-time DI scoring record in tourney history with a whopping 30 points, plus an incredible season all-around, and that deserves to be celebrated, but do it at another time. Give LSU their spotlight & shine where it's due.

Side note, it's pretty cool that Angel Reese's cousin Jordan Hawkins will also be heading to the White House.

“We [grew up] dreaming about the same thing,” Hawkins said. “It’s absolutely amazing that we both get this opportunity.

“The family reunion is going to be crazy.”

Just hope Frank the Tank isn't in charge of the grill at that cookout.
