Michael Rubin Says That Dave Portnoy Will Never Be Invited Back To His Famous White Party In The Hamptons (Unless He Apologizes)

On today's Pardon My Take... MICHAEL RUBIN! The CEO of Fanatics and former partner of the 76ers joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter in-studio to talk business, why he sold his portion of Philadelphia's NBA team, how we can sneak into his Hamptons party, and much more. 

Speaking of that party, Rubin throws one of the most notable gatherings of the year every summer at his house in the Hamptons. It is called the "White Party," and only the biggest celebrities + athletes in the world are invited. Here are some of the recent guests who attended...

Drake, Jay-Z, NBA superstars, and many, many other familiar faces are at this party every summer. Another name you all certainly know who once got the invite to Rubin's White Party? Dave Portnoy. But it doesn't seem like that will be the case again moving forward. I'll let Rubin, Mr. Cat, and Mr. Commenter explain...

Mr. Cat: So, your parties are legendary. 

Michael Rubin: Yeah.

Mr. Cat: The one, July 4th in The Hamptons, legendary. What's the policy on, like, extra plus twos?

Michael Rubin: Yeah, so...

Mr. Cat: I'm not speaking on anyone's behalf.

Michael Rubin: We can just address this.

Mr. Cat: Okay, yeah.

Michael Rubin: Ask me the question you wanted to ask me.

Mr. Cat: Alright, so Dave was trying to go to your party. He got invited to your party. I think the story is that he, his girlfriend, lovely woman, Silvana, Dave and Silvana, and then Silvana's sister and her boyfriend. They wanted two more tickets so they could all go, and you said, "Absolutely not, Dave," and spit in his face.

Michael Rubin: That's close...

Mr. Cat: Okay. So, you did spit in his face?

Michael Rubin: No, no. Let me give you the real story. So first, let me start by saying, I love Dave.

Mr. Cat: Yes.

Michael Rubin: All love for Dave. He was a dumbass, okay? He was a dumbass.

Mr. Cat: Oh, okay.

Michael Rubin: So, that party has 350 people that come. Dave was lucky to be invited.

Mr. Cat: Ooooooohhhh! This is not going to go well!

Michael Rubin. Just being honest, Dave was lucky to be invited. We have, again, 350 people, you know who comes to this party, and Dave… and by the way, we only invite 400 people, 350 people come. Like, basically everyone who's invited, comes to the party. And we reached out and said, "Hey, are you coming?" He said, "Well, I need to bring three people with me." There was not, by the way, Jay-Z and Beyonce don't bring three people with them. Drake's not bringing three people with him.

Mr. Cat: But it's Dave Portnoy…

Michael Rubin: And so, I love Dave, and I say this with lots of love for Dave. We were like, "Is he serious?" And then, actually someone sent me… my kid sent me, because she watches, Kylie watches, umm…

Mr. Cat: BFF's, with Josh [Richards] and Brianna [Chickenfry].

Michael Rubin: And she sent me the clip of Dave saying that I was dead to him and he was never coming to my party again, so we didn't invite him last year. 

Mr. Cat: Oh, so we got to fix this.

Michael Rubin: He's out for the White Party.

Mr. Cat: No, no, no, we got to fix this. You got to invite him this year. 

Michael Rubin: Yeah, it's not happening.

Mr. Cat: Why? Put him on for four.

Michael Rubin: Listen, let me tell you what I did with the White Party this year. At the end of the year, we said, "Who were the 75 people that added the least value?" We cut them. It's the football team.

(A few minutes later)

Michael Rubin: If Dave comes back and says, "Listen, I was a little ahead of myself…"

Mr. Cat: Uhhhh, do you know who Dave is? Do you know?

Michael Rubin: "… I shouldn't have asked for a +4, I'd really like to come with my girlfriend on my own…" 

Mr. Cat: No chance.

Michael Rubin: … I would think about it. Other than that, I'm going to love him forever, he'll always be my boy, but he'll never be at the White Party.

Alright, so after Mr. Cat tried his best to get Dave back on the list for this party, there is still an opening for it to happen. If Dave reaches out to Michael, it looks like he will be there. Will that be the case? We shall see…
