Steph Curry And The Warriors Are Very Much Still Alive After Pulling Out A Thrilling Game 4 Win

HOLY SHIT WAS THAT GAME AWESOME!!

Here's the thing when you're playing the Golden State Warriors in a playoff series. When you have your opportunity to bury them, you cannot fuck around.  Every second you allow them to have more and more life, only bad things happen. After taking the first two games at home, the Kings had a chance to effectively end the series in Game 3. A tall task for sure, but that was their first chance to effectively kill off the Warriors.

They did not.

In Game 4, up 2-1, I can tell you from first hand experience that when you have the Warriors in this position, you need to find a way to take care of business and make that 3-1. Get a split on the road, and then return home to close it out against a team that is utter dogshit on the road.

They did not.

Now? This is now a best of 3 series. Can the Warriors win on the road? If they want to advance, they're going to have to. They only need one, and now that they are full of life and confidence, it would surprise me one bit if it ends up being Game 5. This is the issue with the Warriors. They don't fucking die. Every time you think you're making progress, you're down 5. Steph is doing Steph shit right in your face and there's nothing you can do about it

Then when it's not Steph, you're getting Klay Thompson pindowns that aren't even considering touching the rim.

When it's not Steph or Klay, there's more gigantic shots and defensive plays by Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green

How many other teams survive a situation where the best player forgets he doesn't have a timeout so not only does his team lose possession but it gives the other team a free point? Steph Curry going full Chris Webber and still coming out on top is why this team is so fucking annoying.

Steve Kerr challenging a clear moving screen so he burns his last timeout with 2:14 left and it not mattering one bit is absolutely bullshit.

Games like this are why you have to give the Warriors the benefit of the doubt. As defending champs, until someone beats them 4 times there is not a situation they can't dig themselves out of. Down 0-2 means nothing anymore. If they find a way to win Game 5, which any game that Steph Curry plays in gives you a good shot at, does anyone think Game 6 isn't a lock? The Kings are young and had every opportunity to completely control or even end this series. In a make or miss league, this Harrison Barnes miss could end up being rather costly

Against GS, you have to find a way to avoid close games. Their shotmaking is simply too ridiculous. Having to worry about Steph Curry offensively in a one or two possession game is literal torture. Every time he shoots it you just feel it in the pit of your stomach as your eyes watch him hit nothing but net. These fuckers really won't go away.

It goes without saying if you're the Kings, Game 5 is about as must win as you could possibly get. All you have to do is protect your home floor and you'll advance. We saw their inexperience in the last 2ish minutes in terms of their offensive approach/turnovers/etc, and that's all stuff that can be cleaned up. Find a way to just keep Steph Curry from going supernova (nearly impossible), and you can still be in the driver's seat of the series.

If not, you're kinda fucked.
