I NEED This Rumor Of A Chase Young To The Bears Trade To Be True

The topic was recently discussed by Alex Kay of The Bleacher Report, who hypothetically sent Young to the Chicago Bears for two second-round picks this year and next. Something that does look tempting when one factors everything into the equation.

“Rather than take the risk on Young returning to full strength, the club should accept a second-rounder from a team with more financial flexibility—such as the Chicago Bears, who desperately need help on the edge after finishing dead-last in sacks this past season—to both recoup some value on the investment and clear cap space.”

I haven't seen anything *credible* on Chase Young to the Bears, but there are twitter rumors flying around and those twitter rumors have got blood flowing to my nether regions. I don't understand why the Commanders wouldn't just pick up the option as a flier. See if he can figure it out. The Commanders aren't close to winning. Feels like it's not going to be a salary cap concern. Whatever though. That is their problem/prerogative. The Bears need an edge rusher and Chase Young, even though he hasn't played like...at all the last two years, fits the bill for the Bears. Not playing since he won defensive rookie of the year just means there's less tread of the tires for the Bears.

The paragraph above talking about two 2nd round picks for him is fine. The other rumor being floated around the internet is Chase Young and pick #16 for #9 if one of the quarterbacks is still there. If that is on the table the Bears need to give the fastest FUCK YES of all time. Get your edge and hopefully your tackle at 16 and call it a day. That would be a dream scenario for Chicago with very limited risk. If Chase Young doesn't work out for whatever reason then all it cost you was 6 spots in the draft. If the Draft Gods finally start granting prayers from Chicago then Poles is going to have this team contending and contending FAST.

NFL Draft expert Mike Renner joined the show to talk about what the Bears should do at #9 and sleepers later in the draft. HUGE day for Chicago. Not nervous about the draft, but feels like this is a transformational type of day. Feels good to finally not need a QB.
