The World Deserves A Tkachuk Brothers Cup Celebration To Set Off The Summer

By now I'm sure that everyone has seen the clip of Brady Tkachuk gassing some beers out of the Wanamaker Trophy with Brooks Koepka at the P's game last night. I'm assuming it's beers in there, but considering some of the pupils in the room I'm not totally certain. Either way, the fact of the matter here is that the Tkachuks are the best family in all of hockey.

It's one thing to have a set of brothers both playing in the NHL. But it's an entirely different thing to see how openly hard both of these guys are rooting for one another. Maybe it's just because social media wasn't quite as big back then, but I don't remember Eric Staal being piss-your-pants drunk at Mellon Arena while Jordan Staal was winning a Cup with the Penguins in 2009. I'm pretty sure Luke Schenn was in the barn when Brayden Schenn won the Cup with St. Louis, but did he drink TD Garden dry that right? Doubtful.

The fact of the matter is that Brothers Tkachuk are a gruesome twosome of the likes which we've rarely seen in the NHL. And nothing would set the summer of 2023 off quite like these two menaces getting a chance to celebrate a Stanley Cup Championship.

The key to a great summer all comes down to setting the tone early. If we get Matthew and Brady boozing their faces off out of the Cup all summer long, then that's the standard. Just imagine the Summer of Ovi, but multiply it by 2.

Heck, maybe even multiply it by 3 once Big Walt gets himself involved.

The world deserves to let loose a little bit this summer. Everywhere you turn, it feels like you have someone telling you a new reason for why the world is going to hell. We can all collectively agree to just not give a shit about any of it for a few months while the weather is perfect, and just get after it all summer. But it starts and ends with a Tkachuk Bros Cup Celebration. Give the people what they want.
