Barcelona And Inter Miami Are Reportedly Trying To Form An Alliance To Block Messi From Signing A (Roughly) Billion Dollar Deal In Saudi Arabia

Oh hell yeah. I was waiting for the next bit of weird information regarding Messi and his plans this offseason and here we go. An alliance. Not just an alliance, an alliance led by David Beckham to help an old rival out. Get Messi back to Barcelona for a season and then bring him to the MLS. That's a little win-win in the soccer world to keep Messi from going to Saudi Arabia.

At the same time, look at that dollar amount. I don't care who you are, imagine loving something (in this case Barcelona) so much you'd even entertain the idea of turning down roughly a BILLION DOLLARS. I don't care how rich you are, a billion is a billion. That's setting up generations of wealth for your family. You can do whatever the hell you want when you have that sort of money, ultimate fuck you money if you will.

We know the Saudis are throwing around a ridiculous amount of money:

But I just don't want Messi over there. At least with Barcelona and the MLS we can watch him play. It keeps Messi way more relevant than playing in Saudi Arabia too that's for sure. That said, this whole saga is amazing. We're talking a couple months now of will he go to Saudi Arabia or not. We've heard a ridiculous amount of money each time. The whole Barcelona and FFP situation and how can they get him back. Now we have an alliance. An alliance with Inter Miami and Barcelona. That's what you do for Messi though.
