The Denver Nuggets are NBA Champions! The 1 seed held off the Miami Heat, 94-89 in last night’s Game 5, and for the first time ever, the franchise in the Mile High City has won it all. 

To nobody’s surprise, Nikola Jokic was named NBA Finals MVP. He had 28 and 16 in last night’s clincher. A very easy guy to root for, congrats to him on reaching this level of professional basketball. 

On the flip side, what a playoff run to remember for the Miami Heat. They were just a few minutes away from being eliminated in the PLAY-IN game all the way back in April, but somehow managed to pull off some major upsets to get to this point.
