Fowler. Stokke. America. - Rickie Fowler With The Perfect Reaction After Drilling A Putt To Win On The PGA Tour For The First Time Since 2019
I know people may have not been able to see this because the golf coverage was all the way terrible today. Seriously, we got Rickie going for his first title since 2019, maybe show it? Maybe help some of us out? Then again, I have to admit I'm a diehard Rickie guy. Ever since he first appeared on the scene with the floppy hair, orange outfits, terribly hilarious music videos with Bubba Watson. All-in on Rickie.
Then it was impossible not to love him when this became the infamous picture of the 2016 Ryder Cup:
Little did we know a few years later he'd be engaged and married to a Hall of Fame smoke. A blogger's legend. An internet legend. Allison Stokke:
I'm sure Danny Rap will cover the true ups and downs of Rickie's career. I'm simply a man who is a diehard golf fan, a man with a perfect baby fade (until it's a true slice) trying to consistently stay at a sub-15 handicap, a man who wants Rickie to win a major and be on the Ryder Cup in Italy this fall. Needless to say Rickie was BAD for a couple years. This year? It's a true comeback (Chris Pratt's outtake from Parks and Rec ruined using this word for me without laughing) story. Dude is consistently putting in top-10s. He's competing at majors. Now today, he's finally a winner in Detroit at the Rocket Mortgage Classic beating Adam Hadwin and Collin Morikawa in a playoff.
Sidenote - the tough month for Hadwin continues:
Quick focus on the playoff too. What a shot:
100% chance I'd drill the 8th person in on the left. No doubt about that. Although somehow his shot on the 72nd hole might have been better:
But even better was his quote after:
Dude has been through the highs and lows of the sport. Shit, you could argue he hit as low as low could get for someone of his level. But then again there's more to life when you're married to Allison Stokke:
