Props To Angels Manager Phil Nevin For Not Strangling Buster Olney After Being Asked Mid-Game About Trading Shohei Ohtani

The topic of whether or not Shohei Ohtani is going to be traded in a few weeks is all over baseball right now. No one cares about the Angels daily results anymore. It's just what did Shohei do and are they going to trade him. Buster Olney continued that trend on Sunday Night Baseball when he interviewed Angels manager Phil Nevin DURING THE GAME.

Might as well have just said, "Hey Phil it's 1-1 here in the 3rd, you have a chance to win a series here out of the break, so have you talked with Shohei about what city he wants to end up in?"

The smile after asking the question is unbelievable. What a tremendous asshole. Villain shit.

I was watching live and really thought Phil was about to grab Buster by the collar and toss him into the dugout. I know people look at me and say I've got a punchable face, but that shit eating grin he delivered there is something else. For a second I believed we might get a Jim Everett/Jim Rome situation.

What is Phil supposed to do there? Good on him for just saying we're trying to win games and that's it. No strangulation, assault, or murder. He's a better man than me.

P.S. Unrelated to this interview, but it's CRAZY you only have to hit a ball over the yellow line and not the entire wall for it to be a homer here. If you have a wall it needs to go over. That should be the first rule of baseball.
