After Years Of Teasing, We Are Finally Getting A 71 Year Old "Golden Bachelor" This Fall

FINALLY!!!! Welcome Gerry to the Bachelor family!!!!! (Gerry pronounced like Guy or Gary btw, kinda weird already). We have been waiting for a Golden Bachelor for no joke, probably 10 years. They've been "casting" for at least 3, and honestly, I never thought it would come to fruition despite being an amazing idea. People my age who watch the show now are generally bored by the drama of 25 year olds, and this will be SO NEW to us I think it's going to really blast off.

Gerry Turner is 71 years old, appears to have hearing aids, and is somehow smoking hot? This is a GREAT looking man. He's a grandpa from Indiana and I think he might be the man to save the Bachelor franchise. Anything he does that seems cheesy, we're just going to write off as "cute" because he's "old." I'm almost CERTAINLY going to cry while watching, old people are very very adorable to me. I'm even tearing up at the tagline, "it's never too late to fall in love...again"....I mean LOOK AT THIS!!!

Variety - A retired restaurateur and doting father and grandfather, Gerry (pronounced like “Gary”), lives in his dream house on a beautiful lake in Indiana. He’s often busy hosting barbecues, playing pickleball, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, four-wheeling and spending time with friends and family at restaurants and local haunts.

Turner married his high school sweetheart, Toni, in 1974. They lived a happy life together for 43 years, with their two daughters, Angie and Jenny, and later, their two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton. Sadly, Toni suddenly fell ill and died in 2017. Six years after her passing, and with the support of his family, Turner is now ready to find love again.

WHAT THE FUCK!

Think of the possibilities of the women too - throw in a couple real old bags with a great personality? Maybe some "small town ladies" from Indiana, like Gerry, up against some fast talkin' bitches from New Jersey? It's going to be like The Real Housewives in the Bachelor Mansion and I can't fucking wait.
