McNeese State Has Scheduled "College of Biblical Studies" and "Mississippi University for Women" for their Out Of Conference Schedule

I know it's July and other than the diehards like me, college basketball news is buried in the papers. Summer movies, NFL, Win Total Wednesdays (go watch Picks Central), Taylor Swift etc. but this one stopped me in my tracks. Listen, Will Wade name is still very newsworthy in college basketball. He was a star on the rise coach at VCU then LSU, and got jammed up in an investigation involving wire taps, player payments etc. I always liked the guy, especially after his appearances on Barstool Bench Mob (RIP), but I get how his name has baggage. Either way, he's now at McNeese State and if he can have success there will likely find his name back in the mix for big name jobs sooner rather than later.

One way you get your name back in the mix is by winning games and judging McNeese State's non conference schedule... they should definitely win a few, likely because some of the colleges on this list even the biggest college hoops junkie won't find. Hell I think even the best college advisors in the country haven't heard of these schools.

A bunch of games jump out. Like opening at his old stomping grounds of VCU, a MTE (multi team event for those in the biz), UAB, and Michigan are all respectable. Then you have some of the wildest names I have ever seen.

College of Biblical Studies, Champion Christian, LeTourneau, and the best one out there The Mississippi University for Women (which does have men).

Listen, knock this schedule all you want, but this a business where you win games and I see 4 wins right there. You think Coach K got to 1000+ wins in his career without scheduling a few cupcakes ? Hell no. He took the wins early and often and did his best not to leave the state of North Carolina as much as he could. We're gonna fault a guy who is returning to the game after an absence for wanting to get some wins under his belt ? Get lost. This year it's Miss College for Women ...next year it's The Maui for McNeese State ... you watch.
