Christopher Nolan Says He Would Love To Make A James Bond Movie Which Means It HAS To Happen
“The influence of those movies in my filmography is embarrassingly apparent. It would be an amazing privilege to do one.”
Lemme tell you two things.
#1. Yes, you can see odes to Bond in almost every movie Nolan has done.
#2. He would make the best Bond movie ever made.
Most people associate Nolan with his ability to make great sci fi, but nearly all of those great movies feature some sort of secret agent, subterfuge, car chase, suave rich guy, cool gadgets etc. So just imagine everything you loved about those movies rolled into the historic property that inspired them? It could top the extremely top-heavy list of entries in this franchise.
The cinematography of the greatest camera artist of all time, Roger Deakins, is what helped push Skyfall to the top of the list for me. Nolan is up there among the best as far as picking great cinematographers and creating amazing shots which is what has me believing it can top my personal favorite.
The biggest question will be the one that has been lingering since Craig's second retirement from the character: Who plays Bond in the new ? Henry Cavill has been a popular choice and it's easy to see why. He's got the looks, the charisma and the physicality which is exactly why he likely won't be picked. So look forward to Nolan's eventual battle with the Broccoli fam over him not wanting to cast Tom Holland in the titular role.
