There's Not A Better Scene In Baseball Than A Packed Camden Yards And The Orioles Looking Like The Best Team In The AL

You hear that little tune in the background, you know the one you start humming along with? That's right, Orioles Magic is alive and well folks. Sure, I'm biased. But there's nothing better in baseball than a packed Camden Yards and it being because the Orioles are good. It's simply the most beautiful park in baseball. It's perfect every single way you look at it. There's not a bad seat in the house, even if you're an idiot 22-year old with a summer free before working and go to 20+ games in 2009 when they were real bad. Shout out the outfield seats.

This isn't so much about Camden Yards as it is about this team. I see so many people trying to yell and scream about what they should do. I see people saying Brandon Hyde isn't a good manager. I don't know man, seems like it's working out! And here the Orioles are with an incredibly deep farm system, a young core, a superstar in Adley, a potential star in Gunnar and the lead in the AL East. They are easily one of the best teams in all of baseball. Would I love to go get a starter? Absolutely. Tyler Wells was just optioned down to AA and clearly is battling fatigue. But the fact that people are debating just how much the Orioles should be buyers is awesome. That's the beauty of the deep farm system and what's even available in the trade market.

As for the rest of the fans - yes, I'm a diehard Orioles fan. I know, it's a weird allegiance, but they were the team I grew up the closest to, my old man told me not to be a Mets fan like him. Next thing you know I have sideburns to be like Brady Anderson and I'm still saying fuck Mike Mussina (and most importantly fuck Jeffrey Maier too). Well, for the rest of the fans sit back and enjoy it. The run we had from 2012-17 was awesome. I know Baltimore loves the Ravens, but it's a baseball town when the Os are good. It's awesome and fans will show up and show out for a team that's competitive. There will be bandwagon fans, who cares? There will be people screaming about feeble or what not, who gives a shit? Sit back and embrace it.

We've lived through some dark days. We had the couple years in the 90s, we had the 2012-17 fun times. Other than that? Not good! Not good at all! I'm 36 and haven't seen much of the playoffs. The 83 World Series was quite literally a lifetime ago at this point. So, sit back and enjoy the ride. It should just be starting. One more reliever and one more starter and we can start talking about being the favorite out of the AL, but for now, these are our guys. From Elias to Hyde to Adley to Gunnar to Mountcastle and everyone else.

Sit back and embrace it because there's nothing better in baseball than a packed Camden Yards. Still an all-time moment and probably the loudest I've ever heard the place:

And hit the motherfucking music
