Zach Thomas Was Better Than Brian Urlacher And Deserved To Be A First Ballot Hall Of Famer
Tonight Miami Dolphins legend Zach Thomas gets inducted into the Hall of Fame, and to be honest this should have happened many years ago. Zach Thomas was better than first ballot Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher. Urlacher was a beast there's no question about it, Zach was just better.
Zach Thomas finished with 1,734 tackles which is 373 more tackles than Urlacher. Brian Urlacher was the 9th overall pick, Zach Thomas was pick 154, with Zach measuring in at 5'11 228 lbs. to Brian's 6'4 260. You tell me who had more dawg in them. It's Zach and it's not even close.
Brian Urlacher was a fucking beast and deserved to be a first ballot Hall of Famer. But so did Zach. Us Dolphin fans have been waiting for this moment for years, and after being rejected year in and year out, Zach is finally getting what he deserves. A gold jacket.
I don't know much about Urlacher's upbringing but it couldn't have been worse than Zach's. When Zach was 2 years old, he was run over by a fucking truck. I'm going to say that again. When Zach was 2 years old, he was run over by a fucking TRUCK and survived. The incident probably stunted his growth, but I can assure you it built character at an early age. As a teenager Zach got stuck on a mattress floating down a river, and had to be saved by his brothers 2 miles down the stream. I swear to God, I am not making this up. Please feel free to Google it. I don't know how you can get stuck on a mattress but Zach found a way, just like he found his way into being one of the best linebackers in NFL history. 4 years after floating down the lazy river, Zach's house was burnt down and he literally had to get it out the mud.
Brian Urlacher was that dude, but Zach Thomas was better. On the field and overcoming everything life through at him.
