This Clip Of Giancarlo Stanton Trying To Score From Second Is Pathetic And Depressing

That video is something, man. It's tough and sadly it's become the norm with Giancarlo Stanton. It's not that he's lazy, but more that he simply cannot run at any capacity these days without hurting himself. This is him trying to stay on the field at 33 years old. Pathetic and depressing. You'd think Stanton was as crippled as Nate based on that footage. You watch that clip and know for a fact you are probably faster than a 33 year old athlete who is getting paid $20M+ a year. Take the context of the hit out of there and just focus on him running you'd assume that's a ball in the gap with no throw even attempted. Nope, just a play at the plate.

It's hard to get on 3rd base coach Luis Rojas here for sending a guy from 2nd base on a base hit to the outfield with two outs, but you gotta know who you're dealing with. You're just banking on the throw being terrible off-line it doesn't reach the catcher because anything close he's done for. Brutal.

Four more years of this by the way.

P.S. At least I get to laugh at Klemmer who lost his pick of the day on Stanton's double that got him to second in the first place.

Imagine losing your bet on a dude who can't run, reaching second on a base hit.
