Heaven Is A Place On Earth, And It's This BBQ Competition In The Most Crystal Clear Ocean You've Ever Seen
I think by now most of you know one of my favorite ways to spend the summer is to fire up the smoker and cook up some delicious BBQ. The only issue, though, is that one of my other favorite ways to spend the summer is to head to the beach. I'm not asking for pity or anything like that but when you spend 14 hours out of the day smoking a brisket, that doesn't leave you a ton of time left for the beach. You truly never know what struggles other people in life are going through, and that's a stark reminder. Every day in the summer my life is a constant battle between either wanting to tend the fire to get some ribs on the plate for dinner, or bask on the beautiful beaches of the Jersey Shore all day.
Looks like I finally found a way to do both. Just bring the smoker down to the ocean with you. It's so simple, yet so genius. I can't believe that nobody has ever thought about this earlier. That right there is what paradise looks like. Crystal clear water and succulently smokey meats. It doesn't get any better than that.
And while I've never looked down upon anybody who uses a pellet smoker or anything that is technologically assisted, it's kind of nice knowing you can only experience this slice of heaven if you're actually managing the fire yourself. You want to experience paradise? You better learn how to control your temps, boy.
