The NCAA Stands Strong To Help Save College Sports - By Denying Waivers For Guys Who Transferred To Be Close To Sick Family Members

Ah, glad to see we have our priorities here. Who cares about conferences falling apart, rivalries being ripped from us and just mostly money moves by those in charge? Nope, the NCAA sure as fuck doesn't care because they can keep printing money. They know that we're going to watch every single game and cheer for laundry because we went to school there or grew up in New Jersey/New York and think that's where Duke is located.

Now we have a whole transfer dilemma. I'm not talking about the portal, because that is a whole different argument. Also people seem to forget that the portal number is so high because of the free COVID years. We've never had more people playing college sports. Not saying there are guys transferring because of whatever but a pretty simple fact that those who hate the portal tend to leave out.

To me it seems logical. Everyone gets 1 free transfer. Then you can transfer again freely if your coach leaves, gets fired, retires, whatever. Then it gets a little iffy because the NCAA refuses to use common sense. The guy who transfers from Miami to Florida State to be close to his mother seems logical. You can pretty easily figure out if he's lying or not. If he's not lying why stop him from playing? I get it's hard to quantify things like help or anxiety or what have you, but at some point we gotta stop pretending like these guys are normal students. It's just not the case and never has been the case.

Just hilarious to deny these sort of waivers as you have conferences falling apart and schools leaving. That's the way to do it. Make sure the money is there and then fuck everyone else. College sports has always been a minor league of sorts, but it made sense because it was all regional. Good luck figuring it all out now.
