As A Soon To Be Chicago Resident - Who Is The Best Baseball Team To Root For: The Cubs Or The White Sox?
The Cheah family is moving to the beautiful suburbs of Chicago in two weeks. Barstool has been very good to me over the last seven years and it's enough to uproot the lives of my wife, and our two young children. I have also never been a real baseball fan. I don't consume it at all presently. In my opinion there are far too many games and it has always been too slow.
But the pitch clock has changed the too slow part. With games being two and a half hours, that's much more digestible. Until the amount of games are being played are changed, I'm never going to watch 162 games. But I will pay attention and become a fan of a franchise. It almost seems like a requirement in Chicago and I'm a malleable guy.
I wanted some honest feedback from the people of the greater Chicagoland area and I got a ton of responses.
This is a very compelling case.
I would likely be driving to games, so the Sox seem appealing here…
A bunch of people suggested some other Cubs rivals that are also not too far away.
I will say, the Cardinals stadium is a cool looking area and the franchise is clearly top notch, the Brewers have a cool stadium along with those weiner races.
So there is definitely a lot to think about. Nobody has put forth the most compelling argument yet that would make me go all in, so I'd like more people weigh in. If I was going to pick a team to root for - who should I cheer for and why? Sound off in the comments below.
