LIL TAY IS ALIVE!

TMZ - Social media personality Lil Tay is very much still alive -- claiming her Instagram account was compromised -- and used to spread "jarring misinformation" about her and her brother's death.

In a statement provided to TMZ from Tay's family, she tells TMZ, "I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess."

She also says, "My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not "Claire Hope"."

Oh hell yeah! I was reeling all day yesterday from the news that Lil Tay had reportedly died. I just wasn't sure what a world without "The Youngest Flexer" might look like. I didn't want to exist on a planet where the youths aren't flashing money and talking trash to each other on viral internet videos. Thankfully I don't have to endure that hell just yet.

In case you missed it yesterday I wrote a blog about Lil Tay dying because well, her own Instagram account with 3 million followers said that was the case.

I would say the joke is on me but really the joke is on all of you. Lil Tay, who is very much an internet legend despite what many mean people said to me in the comments, isn't dead after all. In fact, not only is she alive but so is her favorite past time: Running up those numbies. And in turn I get to run up numbies about her on not one but two blogs. The circle of life, if you will.

I'm not sure how many likes that post had before it was deleted but I do know she gained nearly a half a million followers in one day after the fiasco began. What a legend. And now this is the top post on her IG account.

God I hope this was all some kind of publicity stunt for her triumphant return to social media. We need Lil Tay out here dropping diss tracks on all these social media kids who have gotten too comfortable. My first target for her would be Baby Gronk. I need Lil Tay in a video with real Gronk, flashing wads of cash and calling him a poser broke boi. I need it like I need air in my lungs.

I actually think she should team up with Nick and KB as they already have some experience pushing viral fake news about her and might be able to help with this campaign. Who could forget when the Anus boys rocked the internet by announcing a fake Lil Tay tour.

They should help her book all the dates and open for her. I have to imagine Nick and KB are huge draws at Captain Hook's Adventure Golf in Myrtle Beach. That would be absolute scenes.

In all seriousness I'm glad a 14-year old kid isn't dead and if this was all just a huge publicity stunt then the internet needs her back asap. I'm over talking about that chick who freaked out on the plane and what time a bunch of bloggers decided to show up for work. We need real highbrow entertainment again.
