Tampon Strings Are Not Called Wicks, The Sticky Side Of A Pad Doesn't Go Directly On The Vagina, And Other Things Eddie Learned During A Special Periods Dog Walk
The Dog Walk is in heat today, folks. (Oh God.)
Several years ago Eddie was one of the guests that rotated through during a 12-hour, all-night stream on Barstool Radio (punishment for a fantasy football league loss) and, given all the time we had, the topic somehow turned to pads & tampons.
The amount of wildly incorrect ideas he had were astounding and his questions had me cracking up. Ever since then we've joked about doing a Periods Episode of the The Dog Walk and lo & behold, now that we're both in Chicago, we made it happen this week. Plus, knowing the audience & that this is Barstool SPORTS we knew it was sure to go over well & be a hit with commenters.
Full disclosure - Am I an "expert" on periods? ::Looks down at bump of second surprise pregnancy:: No. No I'm not. Still haven't got my own timing down. But I've lived it long enough that I've got the gist, and was able to correct the host when he kept referring to the tampon string as "the wick" like it was a candle.

Side note: We're looking for an OBGYN Stoolie (gotta be tons of those, right?!) to come back on and correct everything I probably got wrong. If that's you, hit us up! (Just kidding, I don't know if Eddie will ever have me back on after this.)
