Plot Twist! New Video Shows Crazy Plane Lady Tiffany Gomas F-Bombing Cops and Saying the Plane Will 'Blow Up'
There are times in this business where a story just has you at "Hello," grabs you right by the heart and won't let go as it unfolds. The epic saga of "He's Not Real" Crazy Plane Lady Tiffany Gomas is one such story.
Tiffany dropped into the public consciousness like she'd been beamed down from another dimension over 4th of July weekend and struck every nerve as she did. She perfectly encapsulated everything that is good and bad in modern times. The horrors of air travel. A mental health crisis. Raging narcissism. Viral videos. MILFs. Ripped jeans. Prop comics:
As our national obsession with this tale of our times played out, we learned her name, her occupation, and witnessed her apology. But there was no way Tiffany's story was going to end there. It couldn't. We deserved better and so did she. And now we have it. In the form of the police bodycam footage, which is fast becoming to current events what DVD extras were to the home entertainment industry. Another way to hold your interest after the plot is resolved and the credits roll.
After review of the play, it turns out Tiffany Gomas is even crazier than she came across while raving about a fictional man sitting next to her:
NY Post - The Texas marketing executive behind the viral “that mother f–ker is not real” plane meltdown continued her tirade in the terminal, threatening cops and insisting the plane was going to explode once it took off.
Police bodycam footage obtained by The Post shows how tearful Tiffany Gomas, 38, refused to leave the boarding area. …
“I don’t care if I never fly with y’all every again. I just want to know what happens to this flight here,” she tells Dallas Airport Department of Public Safety officers.
As they move to escort her from the terminal she starts to tear up and pleads: “Do not let that flight leave … That flight is not going to make it to Orlando. It’s not going to.”
Looking out the windows as they escort her, Gomas says: “There’s a lot of people on that flight.”
“Y’all need to escort me out…really,” Gomas tells the officer. “Until you see this flight f–ing blow up.” …
One [officer] says to her “I can tell you’re having a bad day, we’re not trying to make it any worse,” to which she quickly responds, “My dad’s a cop, f–k you dude.”
Well this is not the plot twist any of us were hoping for. The Tiffany we all fell for six weeks ago was a harmless crackpot. A self-indulgent, foul-mouthed weirdo in a belly shirt delaying a flight with her nutty hallucinations. What was not to love about that?
But this new Tiffany? The one in the bodycam footage? She's just another self-indulgent asshole in a world full of them. A garden variety Karen, mouthing off to the cops who display infinite patience as they try to deescalate the situation. Treating them like some minimum wage server she has no respect for. Even as they're not arresting her for what could easily be a charge of making terror threats at an airport.
It's just so disappointing. They say you should never meet your heroes, but I've never found that to be true. Until now. Suffice to say that on the Crazy-Hot Matrix:
… Tiffany Gomas just went way up the Crazy axis, and quite a bit lower on the Hot axis. Sad.
