Folks, You're Going To Be Surprised Here - Messi Scored A Ridiculous Goal Again, Continues To Embarrass The Rest Of The MLS
Look, the only shocking thing here is the fact it took him 23 minutes to score tonight in the Leagues Cup finals against Nashville. It's typically taken him less than 10 minutes in these matches. It's actually getting to the point I don't know what there is to say about this man. He's ridiculous. Yes, it's the MLS, but he's making it look too easy. Dude is 36 years old and looks like his prime self. Not too shabby.
Kind of hilarious that during his press conference the other day he's been hyping up the MLS. He's not wrong that it's gotten better, that's just a fact. But I'd do the same thing too if I made every player out there look like a JV player pissing himself in their first varsity game. I don't care if you're the best player of this era you shouldn't be able to make soccer look this easy. And make no bones about it, that's an absurd goal. Perfect shot and arguably his best one yet - which, you know, he's scored in every game.
I wonder if we can get Messi's kids to play for Team USA. I mean, they have to be somewhat talented right? Even if they are 3/4 of the talent Messi has, that's still pretty fucking good. We should work on that. That's who we should be recruiting. What a run for the Leagues Cup, this is how you get on the map. You get the best player, have him score all the time and give them a shot to win the thing. Big brain thinking by the Leagues Cup.
