Artists Are Dropping Scooter Braun Like A Bad Habit And It's Great To See. Ariana Grande And Demi Lovato Being The Latest, with Reports Justin Bieber Is Hot On Their Heels

Billboard - Demi Lovato is seeking new management after splitting with manager Scooter Braun last month, sources tell Billboard.

Lovato signed with Braun and his SB Projects firm in 2019. She was previously managed by Phil McIntyre of PhilyMack.

One source close to the situation says it was time for Lovato to go in a new direction, even though she was thankful for her time with SB Projects. She does not yet have new management, though conversations are taking place.

Reps for Lovato and Braun declined to comment.

J Balvin, who also signed with Braun in 2019, left in May and is now managed by Roc Nation.

Entertainment Weekly - Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato are both saying "thank u, next" to music manager Scooter Braun.

A source close to the situation confirmed to EW on Monday that Grande has parted ways with Braun, after signing with the mogul back in 2013. The two first started working together on Grande's first album, Yours Truly, which marks its 10th anniversary next week. The split was first reported by Puck News co-founder Matt Belloni on social media.

File this one under things you hate to see.

This Demi Lovato news is coming hot on the heels of rumors last week that the Biebs himself, the gravy train that started this whole thing for Scooter, is seeking new management.

My snake-in-the-grass former teammate was quick to celebrate the news-

Something Braun's camp quickly denied and something Bieber himself weighed in on late last week.

Page Six - Reps for all parties confirmed to Page Six Friday that rumors claiming the two have parted ways are not true.

Fans went into a frenzy after a report from Puck News claimed that Bieber and Braun hadn’t “spoken in months.”

Neither have addressed the report publicly.

Braun, 42, has seemingly remained unbothered by the speculation, sharing pics of himself living his best life abroad with friends, including Usher, via Instagram.

“Love,” he captioned the post.

But now it seems these rumors are heating back up as Bieber's camp has been testing the waters with other management groups over the past week.

Kelly will find a way to twist and celebrate this as a win for Taylor Swift and her minions. Claiming she was the proverbial first domino to fall in the uprising against Scooter, that started his downfall.

But I'd like the court to make note of another incident, which was a precursor to all of that with Taylor (sorta). It involved a David Portnoy and former employee who shall not be named. This took place in May, a good six months before Braun became public enemy #1 for selling Taylor Swift's masters without giving her the opportunity to purchase them herself.

Exhibit A:

As anybody who's been paying attention around here over the years will tell you, Portnoy is probably the last person in the world you want to cross and make enemies with. You have a better chance of killing John Wick's dog and making it out alive than you do of threatening Dave and being able to sleep at night.

It's too bad Scooter had to learn the hard way.

Somebody get Dave some champagne please. And none of that cheap Mums shit either.

p.s. - Never forget Kevin Hart's roast of Braun at Bieber's Comedy Central Roast. All time, and 100% true.

“Scooter Braun was 25 years old, he was a single man living in Atlanta alone, when he found Justin Bieber on the internet in the middle of the night. … I don’t know where Chris Hansen is, but in this one, that’s a goddamn predator if I’ve ever seen one.”

Savage.
