You'll Never Guess Who The New NFL Preseason Win Streak King In Town Is Now That The Ravens 24-Game Streak Ended
First off congrats to the "2-0 in their last two preseason games" Washington Commanders for beating the "0-1 in their last one games" Baltimore Ravens. Parade should be Thursday I'd presume, and Magic Johnson should have a tweet sent out by Thanksgiving saying how big of a turn out it was.
This was a fun one. Did it have predictably bad preseason miscues? Of course, but you could just tell this game mattered on both sides. These teams wanted to win bad. Mark Andrews said so himself to Lisa Salters on the sidelines and the Commanders showed it on the field including pulling the ever so rare icing your own kicker play.
This got me thinking. I know it sounds dumb and everyone was making fun of it, but icing your own kicker is actually a great move if you plan it properly to synchronize the snap with the timeout so your kicker gets a practice kick. That would have been pretty Slye. Kinda surprised Belichick hasn't tried pulling that over in New England with his Folk.
Anyway - the big bad preseason Ravens are dead. With that said, it is with great pleasure I announce to you the new king of the preseason: Mark Davis's Las Vegas Raiders!
I get it. It's preseason. Nobody cares. But I'm just trying to get us to Week 1 kickoff here and anytime I have a chance to make a Mark Davis graph I'm going to take it. I mean look at that hair. It's like he's already wearing a crown upside down to celebrate. Who cares if he got over his mid-life crisis of cutting his own hair and is bald now? This is how I choose to picture the oldest five-year old in the history of the world.
