Ohhh I Don't Know Jim: Tony Romo Thinks He Gets Criticized As An Announcer Because There's An Agenda And People Like Clicks

[Source] -  “And guess what? There’s agendas. People like clicks. I mean, that’s a real thing. And I think they should. I think it’s all a positive. Talking about it, it helps all of the NFL. Our job is to go out there and perform like we’ve done and try to always do our best. I think we’ve done a great job with that. You’re looking at a very talented group here. Like all things, we’re going to go and try to put our best foot forward.”

Am I writing this blog because Tony Romo drives clicks? Hard to say. Either way, Tony Romo went from being beloved as announcer his first year when he was tipping plays and the new voice to now being talked about as a guy who sucks in the booth.

I don't know Jim, to me he's just kind of there. He's fine. I don't get excited to hear him call a game but I also don't care. Some of his shit is funny to me like when he starts squealing and having no idea how to get out words. The dude knows the game, there's no doubting that. It's not like he's out there just spewing bullshit to talk. There are far worse options to have on your screen than Tony Romo and Jim Nantz, that's for sure.

The article talks about how it felt like it Romo's turn to get criticized. I disagree with that. It's mostly fair criticism, but at the same time, yeah people just hate announcers. Except Bill Raftery. He can do no wrong. I think there are fair criticisms when it comes to Romo though. He'll get overly excited for no reason. There are times him and Nantz can be clunky.

All I know is I'm ready for Nantz to be on my TV again. It's football. Let him do his bits, I don't care. I just want to watch football.
