It's Really Happening. We're Getting A New Track From Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, and Timbaland This Friday

Remember this jam?

BLAZER.

Remember this one?

And this one?

And this one?

And this?

And this?

And this fuckin fire jam?

The equation is simple.

You take Justin Timberlake and/or Nelly Furtado, and throw them on a Timbaland beat and it equals straight fucking fire flames.

Every time.

Even with Madonna doing her best to ruin this song it was still catchy.

So knowing this all, imagine my excitement when Timbaland posted this selfie on his Instagram story, out of fuckin nowhere a few weeks ago…

My dick was harder than a frozen banana in an igloo.

That was followed up with this last week…

And this news.

Billboard- Things are looking up for your Labor Day weekend. After months of teasing, on Monday morning (Aug. 28) Timbaland finally revealed the title of his upcoming single with longtime collaborators Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado. The song, “Keep Going Up!,” is due out on Friday (Sept. 1), just in time to get fans hyped for the three-day holiday weekend.

Tim revealed what looked like the cover art as well, which consists of the blue-fading-to-pink title in balloon letters under the three stars’ names.

The single is the long-awaited follow-up to the trio’s first collab, 2007’s “Give It to Me,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 16 years ago. Last week, Tim posted a teaser video for “Keep Going Up!,” which he captioned “WE BACK,” alongside peeking eyes and exploding head emojis. “Da king has returned!”

They just did this interview discussing all of these collaborations all and more-

Timbo announced that his first full-length album since 2009’s Shock Value II is due out in November which is awesome news.

Here's the shortest snippet preview of the track dropping on Friday

I'm not gonna predict this to be the song of the year, but I also won't be shocked if it is. Because popular music is in a state of despair right now. I don't think it's ever been worse to be honest. Nothing has a shelf life of more than 2-3 months, tops. It's all contrived, recycled nonsense with zero-point-zero substance. Manufactured strictly for radio and stream play, and with tiktok in mind.

The recipe is completely fucked up and we the listeners and fans are both to blame, and the victims of it all.

Luckily, it seems like Timbaland has a plan. And it involves dreaded artificial intelligence.

Forbes- Fresh off his controversial collaboration with the late rapper Biggie Smalls, which he previewed on Instagram earlier this month, the Grammy-winning music producer Timbaland told Forbes he has a plan to commercialize artificial intelligence software that will revolutionize how songs are made.

“It’s going to really be a new way of creating and a new way of generating money with less costs,” the influential beatmaker told Forbes in an exclusive interview. “I’m already here. This is what I’m doing. I’m going to lead the way.”

Timbaland, born Timothy Mosley, said he believes AI voice filters — which allow an artist to assume the voice of another artist — will open up an unprecedented world of creativity in music. Up-and-coming artists with a good cadence or flow, but not a great voice, could use filters to achieve more success. Established artists will be able to share AI replicas of their voices with each other to test collaborations and save time. And a producer could get exclusive rights to use the voice of “a music legend who’s no longer with us,” he said, and fans will eagerly wait for the project to drop.

Now, before you say fuck that noise, give this track a listen and tell me it's not better than 99.9% of the garbage rap coming out today.

You can't.

So please Timbaland, Justin, and Nelly. Save us. You're our only hope.

p.p.s. - reminder that Nelly can still get it

p.p.s. - I almost blogged this when it happened but didn't wanna get called the angel of death again by commenter @shitdick69, and didn't think more than 2% of readers even know who magoo is, but r.i.p. to timbaland's rap duo partner magoo who passed away two weeks ago. this will always be one of my favorite jams from when I was a kid
