A Psycho Stuntman Laughed His Ass Off After Nearly Dying Following A Rooftop Car Jump

In this epic fail video, Russian daredevil Evgeny Chebotarev, 32, tries to drive a Soviet-era vehicle across rooftops using a ramp — only to crash windshield-first into the side of the second building. “Friends always called me a psycho,” he said after surviving the 50-foot drop and suffering injuries to his legs and feet. “As far as I remember, I’ve always loved extremes.

Stunt men really are the real MVPs. Your brain needs to operate on a different wavelength to even attempt some of this shit. When I first watched this, I thought that maybe it was something that was being performed for a movie or commercial, but it doesn’t seem like it. Some dudes are just built differently. The idea of even being in a car that high up off the ground is terrifying, let alone attempting to drive it off of a rooftop.

I mean this with love and respect, but people like this have a piece of their brain missing. It’s a piece of the brain that I wish I had missing. I would love to not feel fear. I would love to have those common instincts not exist in my brain. I feel like it would make life more fun. We talk about this with Tom Cruise all the time. Tom Cruise is a certifiably crazy person, but he loves trying new shit, and he loves making movies, and he’ll basically put his ass in the line just for entertainment. Stunt men do the same shit.

I’m so curious as to what compels people to do this stuff. Like I said, it doesn’t seem like this was for commercial purposes. This man woke up and felt like driving a car off of a roof. He nearly died, and yet he finds himself laughing hysterically. To quote Tyler Durden, my man just had a near-life experience.

Quick sidebar here, but there’s literally no reason why the Academy Awards shouldn’t have a best stunts Oscar. So much of what we see on screen is done by faceless people who never get any credit. Men and women perform stunts like this on film sets every day and never get the love they deserve. Wake up, Academy.

The craziest part of this is that you know this guy will not waver at all. The first chance he gets, he will attempt something like this again. I feel like once you get a taste of this kind of stuff, there’s no going back. He’ll drive a car into outer space if he has to. This is the kind of thing I would never do, but credit to this guy for living life to the fullest.
