Cooper Kupp Being Put On IR And Missing At Least Four Games Is Fantasy Football Nightmare Fuel
Cooper Kupp had a record breaking season in 2021 helping lead the Rams to a Super Bowl XLVI championship with 145 catches 1,947 yards, and 16 touchdowns. Fantasy managers who drafted him early in 2022 weren't rewarded as Kupp missed essentially the final nine games after racking up 100+ yards in five of his first eight contests before an ankle injury cost him the rest of his season.
Kupp has been dealing with hamstring issues this off-season and unfortunately we just got word on Wednesday, the day before the season opener that he'd miss Week 1 vs. Seattle while the hamstring can continue to be rehabbed.
While it stinks for Kupp and Rams fans, Kupp was a lot of fantasy football manager's 1st round pick this year and this is horrific timing for them. You think you've got a guy primed to rebound, who is a PPR monster, playing on a team that should be playing catch up A LOT and you get this news the day before the season starts? Then the day before the game he's ruled out at least the first FOUR GAMES?! Absolutely brutal. People spend so much time, money, and effort on their fantasy league's. Your 1st round pick is supposed to be rock solid and carry you throughout the year and those managers that put their faith in Kupp's season is on life support before the first Sunday is even played. A damn shame.
